You know... It is always refreshing when I see a movie and it exceeds my expectations! This movie was excellent!! I missed it in theaters but enjoyed it just as much if not better in my Home Theater. One of the best shootouts (actually two of them) since HEAT! Which the movie was very similar to.

I was trying to figure out was that makeup and him just looking gritty and grimmy AF? or is he simply NOT aging well. He did great in that role though!

Downloaded it last night.
Good movie. Sort of like a mix of Heat and Usual Suspects. |

Question though, how on God's green Earth did they get their hands on a SAW. It's not like they allow you to keep one once you leave the USMC. For some reason this makes me want to play GTA5 some more.
And other point to ponder, there is way more paper work involved in shooting someone than in just arresting them. |

Definitely an awesome movie. I was pleasantly surprised.
More good news is that a sequel is already underway

Yeah I was thinking that the "cops", and I use the term loosely, where just working the case in order to get their hands on the money in the end.

I felt the same way about the original Purge movie - so many different directions they could have taken. |

I watch this the other day. It was filmed in my neighborhood (Castleberry Hill, ATL), didn't know that until watched it. It's fun to see parts of your neighborhood in a movie, but then they jump around the city with their edits during car chases and it kind of ruins it. "You can't get there from here! That building isn't next to that one!" It wasn't as annoying as Baby Driver, though. They added a bunch of terrible and fake grafitti all over the city.
