Who's hosting Christmas Day? I get that honor tomorrow. Luckily the price is right on the turkey, thanks to the folks at Greenberg turkey and American Amicable. I carve it the day before, soak it in chicken stock overnight, and put in the oven in the morning! I think I got a good yield this year.

We are hosting Christmas Eve starting in about 90 minutes. Non-traditional (i.e. not fish) Italian was a last minute switch from churrasco-style prime tenderloin when my brother in law told us (yesterday) he no longer eats beef. Made about 3 dozen meatballs this a.m. and saved the tenderloin for another date. BIL can have some chicken and pasta with pesto.

I'm quite good at pealing potatoes these days, I fucked up my Christmas favourite 5 times before I have up on making it gluten free and the first 20 lbs of potatoes died for nothing.

I usually wait til the after Christmas Sale when everything come's down to 75% off. so much cheaper than buying at normal prices or even 25% off prices. after driving through many of our sub division neighborhoods i'm getting ideas I wanna do for next year like lighted up deer, snowman and different color lights for the bushes instead of the white that I have now. I dunno...so many ideas

When I was running errands yesterday, the wife took down my tape light wrapped around like Live Oak. wait till she sees what I have in store for her next year! Probably about 45 feet of tape led light wrapped around that Live Oak. With synchronized lighting!

there's a store here in OH called AtHome and they have 50% this week but once Jan 1 hits they than discount their Christmas stuff down to 75%.

Used my Amazon gift card to order a 33 foot rope fairey light, 16 colors. Going to wrap that around my live oak next year to go with my laser show. Should be good.
