Just drove a friend's Fiesta St. That's a fun little car and he said it's very reliable and cheap to maintain. I checked the market and they are about $15k for 2016.

Do you guys think these are too small? It seems similar in size to a prius. It was peppy, but not fast which is good.

It's now on my list of candidates.

Only get a manual. The automatic transmission was problematic on the Fiesta.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Big station wagon, I’d want something big with a low center of gravity. Volvo XC70. Only problem with SUVs and wagons is they have a hotel in the back for him and his girlfriend/boyfriend.

$25k buys a nice e60 M5.

Super reliable, rod bearings last forever, throttle actuators are stone reliable, SMG trans is the best trans BMW has ever made and as for safety, the e60 is a tank.

Being cereal, CPO Accord/Civic SI would be my vote.
