Looking for a clean E38 7 Series

Anyone seen anything that's in good shape !?!??! All the one's I've seen so far are total pieces of shite.

Mileage not too important if the car has been properly maintained. Biggest thing for me is no RUST or ROT. And the interior should be good.

Really nice ones pop up on BringaTrailer.com every now and then. Otherwise set up a search on CL, Autotrader, Cars.com etc. And hang out on the appropriate forums, attend CCA events, etc. You’ll come across one or network into one.

There is a e38 here in FL with a s62/6 BUT it’s a iL, needs paint, PLUS the owner wants $18k

Edit: it’s a 2000 ‘i’ and asking $19k.

Would be appreciatin' if someone tells me they have a buddy who's dad is dumping his E38 (1995-2001) 7-series, that it's mint condition with very few minor issues and he's selling cheap

No pimpin' here. I'm just looking for a mobile sound proof room with a big back seat that I can nap in and escape from the in-laws.

Cargurus has 61 vehicles listed: 7 Series from 1994-2001. Filtered out were suspect units such as frame damage, salvage, etc. Did you check those listings?

Plenty of California, Arizona, Texas and Florida vehicles, which will be more rust free, on average, than vehicles from Michigan, New York, Massachusetts or New Jersey.

I was looking for a 740/50iL for over a year. Everything local was crap. Found plenty really nice(from photos and descriptions) long distance, but wasn't willing to take that chance or fly out just to look at a car. Most of the really nice ones were in the $10-15k range. $6-10k would've bought a decent one, anything under that was pretty much a disaster.

Then a really sweet deal on an E92 came across my way, and bought it. I'd still like to have a nice E38 some day.
