Just after recent spy photos, FAW has revealed their Mazda6 based sedan at the Beijing Motor Show, the Besturn (also Bentung) B50. The B50 gets a 1.6-liter powerplant to start with a hybrid engine to follow later. Since FAW manufactures in China the Prius on behalf of Toyota, surely a hybrid engine will be a natural next step for China's first auto manufacturer.

Actually the car has a lot of nice surface detailing (albeit derivative) often not present in that class. At least the elements gel together better than some new models from established manufacturers *cough* nissan maxima *cough*
