There is probably an e46 M3 sedan Prototype as well. BMW probably just hasn’t acknowledged it’s existence. Think about it, they held off on doing an e46 M3 sedan (forgot the reasons), yet they made a prototype e46 M3 wagon?

In of the issues of the British BMW Car magazine from the late '90 there were a few pics of white M3 Limo mule car with lots of black panels and tape on it, quad exhaust and big brake kit etc. Definitely an early 4-door M3 prototype. The question only is why did stop the development and didn't release it
