Say what you will... But the "proof is in the pudding".
This Supercar takes a Hypercar to even compete. It's relatively comfy and easy to drive in city streets. And of course the "curbside appeal" is unmistakable. Definitely the car for my $$$ if I'm shopping in this price point. |

Doesn’t sound great like NA cars such as Huracan. Also heard it doesn’t give you that raw driving experience not to mention subpar build quality.
For the money- i think Lambo Performante is the best supercar available. I hope to get one within next few years. For ultimate performance i think the Pista still is better overall than 720S. I do give McLaren ton of credit for their amazing designs and crazy performance. |

Never been a fan of the 720S. It looks a bit like a jelly bean. Also McLaren needs to improve the interior. The interior design looks like some early Lotus.

I prefer the looks of the 675LT personally.

720 is the top dog right now if you want a supercar under a million. But it will be surpassed. It really doesn't bring anything 'timeless' to the table. And its not a limited production car. Whats going to happen when the Tesla Roadster comes out and has 3d holographic gauges and a faster 1/4 mile ?
Rather put my money in something timeless like a 6 speed carrera GT with a howling v10.

The only thing great about this car is that it has hydraulic steering in 2019. Otherwise it's a lame cliche just like every other supercar...

Meh. Front and side are boring while the rear deck/spoiler area just looks too busy and ugly. Nothing classic or exciting with the exterior design. The interior looks junky for a car of this price.
0-60 in 2.8 for a supercar is nothing new. Heck, M5C does the same thing and it's at least 1000lbs heavier...and a BMW. The transmission performance does seem to be top-notch though. Too much hype over this car.

So many biased and/or uninformed posts. This car sh*ts not only on direct competitors but even cars that cost twice as much, as most if not all Mclarens have done to their contemporary rivals.
Regarding build quality I've had a McLaren for quite some time now and the reliability is top notch. Sound with sport exhaust is second to none and yes I test drove turbo V8 ferraris. The only new ferraris that sound better than a McLaren are the NA V12's. The 720 is much newer than my car and I can only imagine that things have got much better since 2014. Wouldn't consider any other brand if I were to buy another mid engine supercar because McLarens tick all the boxes for me. But I have to admit Ferrari's V12 GT's like the F12 and 812 are pretty sweet. |

At full acceleration, this car doesn’t feel like a car. It’s....a teleportation device.
I’ll give the detractors a point on sound though - the McLarens need full breathing mods to sound great, and even then they won’t sound as crazy as a Lamborghini V10. |
