Except for the fact that the Stang has a lot more power and massive discounts, as typical for American cars.
Regardless it doesn't have a shit on the M2. Nice looking and driving car but the M2 is in it's own class.

Pinching pennies will feel good at the time of purchase and quickly wear off. That's why the Korean attempts to compete with the germans, while very respectable, aren't there yet.

To get an M2 just the way you want it, you'll have to order it, the dealer will get it with the DCT and dumb stuff that you don't want, so they can increase the profit margin, but you'll have less ability to negotiate as well. The M2C is probably the best that BMW has as far as an all-around package. I looked hard at one, but at the same time they came out with the 2SS version of the 1LE, so that got my full attention. I looked at GT350s...but it just seemed like a bad value. The only lower mustangs worth talking about are bullet and PP2, both not available at the time. I'm happy with what I got, it's a monster handler and has all the same creature comforts that my BMW had, minus active cruise control, but the fact that this car only comes in manual makes it special IMO.
