I has installed low voltage landscape lights few years ago and they suddenly won't go off in the morning. I tried all the settings and until I unplug the transformer, they stays on no matter what I do, they stay on. Any electrician out there to help out?

I will take a stab although I don't work with low-voltage lights.....but any "automatic" light that turns on at dark and off at daylight typically works off of a "photo-cell" which essentially is a switch that connects and disconnects the circuit.

I would start there.

are they LED? sometimes LED's can stay on somewhat dim. i think i even remember some audi owners manual literature advising this was normal and the draw is so insignificant that it won't effect battery life... i would imagine the same is true for wired LED's in other applications.

I have had photocells fail twice in outdoor 120V lights over the years, and both times they failed so that the lights were constantly on.

If the cost of replacing the part is too high, buying an external holiday light timer with a photocell built in would let you plug in the transformer and use the existing lights.....

there should be a photosensor switch on the line. it may have gone bad or covered up with mud, dirt, mulch or something?

This has been my experience. Even a layer of hard water stains and dust can affect them.

I am not using the photocell sensor; rather, I am using the timer. My experience with photocell sensor is what you are experiencing and the location of the two transformers is in a shaded area. Therefore, those lights will be remain on even during the day time.

A modern approach wouldn't even use a photocell for this exact reason. The 21st Century solution is to have your lighting trigger in relation to the time the sun sets.

Remove the photocell sensor and install a google home / Alexa relay to turn the lights on and off at sunset and sunrise via wifi.
