Power Washers
Anyone have a great power washer they recommend for washing the beast...
I bought one on Amazon and am very disappointed! Want something that creates lots of foam. Don't ask... |

When you say you want a great pressure washer, are you willing to spend? I agree with boredM and the Kranzle is considered the best but that washer alone is over $1000 plus you need the right foam cannon.
Which one did you get from Amazon? I have a Sun Joe that is cheap and sometimes made fun of by certain youtube folks. But as long as you get the smaller orifice in this case the smaller one for your foam canon, then you will be fine. I can get the right pressure and enough flow out of it. I paid less than $150 for my washer. |

I got a sunjoe spx3000 from amazon and the mtm pf22.2 and i get GREAT thick foam. It has a lot to do with your foam cannon. If you got an electric pressure washer with lower GPM, you should install a 1.1mm orifice (which is included with the mtm pf22.2). Consider investing in a good foam cannon and a 1.1mm orifice (cheap) if you have an electric pressure washer. Also the soap can play a factor. I use Adam's megafoam and autofanatic 007 snowstorm and the foam i get is pretty crazy, on par with what you see on youtube.

I have been using a Harbor Freight one for years. It works great and only cost me $79 on sale. I initially bought it just for my work bike but I now use it for all my vehicles. I have a CR Spotless (spot free filitration) connected in line with the pressure washer. I have been using it for over 4 years and it is still going strong. With that being said if it broke tomorrow I would buy another Harbor Freight pressure washer. The M5 dried in sun without wiping it down with a chamois and no water spots.

I think I'm doing something wrong as I have not found foam cannons do much for me. I power washed, applied the foam, waited 5-10 minutes then washed again and was still seeing dirt.
How are you guys using your foam cannon? And are you still having to use a wash mitt? |

The details of person’s routine will vary. For me, I use it as a prewash and lubrication for the scrub. So with the car dirty, I spray as you do and let it sit then rinse off. This loosens up the dirt and gets it pretty clean without touching or rubbing the dirt into the paint, as much as possible. Then I spray again and do not rinse it off. This will be a light coating. Then using the mitt with a soapy bucket, I scrub the car. This time it is a lubrication layer as I take off the remaining dirt. |
