The wonderful English language.
"My hair is messy." Hair referring to all of my hair, as in one entity. "I have 3 hairs that just wont sit right." Hairs being plural for hair. |

sorry to disappoint.. not an FOB .. write one sentence which has word hairs.. else go to dictionary.com to find out.
As per what i know hair is singular and is used as a plural. Am I pulling my hairs ??? or hair? Its unreal to see how many of bmw fans would back up bmwusa even if it screws up.

It really goes either way depending. As said, it depends on if you're refering to individual hairs, or all of your hair in general, or in this case, each individual hair on the back of your neck, or all of your hair on the back of your neck.
However, I will give you that no one ever says "It made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up". It's always "It made the hair on the back of my neck stand up". However, upon further inspection, it COULD go either way.

Being a native english speaker, I will admit that the english language is pretty complex because it doesn't follow rules as strictly as other languages I have been exposed to. This is a perfect example, alot of it depends on the context and situation the word is used in.
