Service Chipped Door

Leave it to BMW service to put a chip in my f'n door... right on the edge, so they opened it and must have hit wall or part of lift. Small tiny round chip....

You meant your local authorized BMW dealer service center?

Did you point it out and have them rectify to issue? How big is it? What color is your X5? Pics would help.

While I trust my local dealer service center, I do a walk around to just to be sure that my vehicles return in the condition it arrives.

Last service they replaced a Pirelli RFT under OEM warranty but the wheel was greased up as f'k... politely pointed out the messy wheel, complimented on the service but firmly communicated that it was in an unacceptable condition. They promptly rectified the issue.

Yes, local BMW Service Center, noticed it right away when they pulled it up... I did not notice it when dropping the vehicle of this morning and luckily they take pictures all around when dropping the car off. They rectified it with a little touch up paint, and you wont notice it unless you really look and then you can see the imperfection... I suppose I'm going to have to re-ceramic that tiny spot now. Pics attached

First pic untouched chip..

Second is from services touch-up...

Next time im at my detailer will see if they can make it better and not noticeable

Great that you have a dark vehicle, still sucks that it happened especially by dealer service. Glad they took care of it but I'd still hold their feet over the fire for additional complimentary items or service
