The 2-series and 4-series saw huge gains. Probably the most controversial cars on this forum (to put it nicely). BMW did their market research I guess. Next we can expect a front wheel drive model with a huge grill. That way we get the best features that people love. :

Great to see BMW sales are strong, I think this momentum will continue in Fy22 given the new and up and coming models ie G8x, G42 and G2x models

This is primarily based on the strength of the Grand Coupe, and not without a lot of money being thrown at it by BMW. It is the cheapest BMW to buy or lease and huge rebates help. They also seem to be a favorite of the dealer service-loaner fleet.

And don't forget, the M2 is included in that number!

Yes. They also began selling the FWD model in the US (previously only AWD was available here) just before the beginning of the quarter, bringing the entry MSRP down even lower.

Considering they sold more 5 series (not a big seller) than the whole Mini brand it's hard to believe the Mini brand makes a lot of sense.

I've always like the Minis' but I think they're overpriced for what they are. I hadn't looked at them in a while and just went on their site. Built the mid-trim 2 door hardtop Cooper (base, not the S), went light on the options and it was still almost $31K.

You'd be surprise how many new/old cars still haven't sold. Just saw an article that Dodge sold two Vipers for Q1.
