Was on the freeway yesterday. Some ahole in a big rig was spewing rocks and pebbles like there was no tomorrow. Got my front bumper pretty good in a few spots. I'm so pissed. Went to a body shop today. They quoted me 2k fur a full bumper respect. Is it me or is that ridiculously high?
Found a dent repair guy online with good reviews. He said he can fix it for $250 by adding some filler, prime and paint. He said it'll look good as new. Hoping he's right. I just got the car about two months ago and it's really bumming me out. I stare at the chips every time I see my car. I've counted five chips so far. Is the M5 paint really soft? I should've got the bumper ceramic coated. Body shop guy said I should just let it be, and that it's bound to happen again. |

PPF is a bumper's best friend ...

Ceramic would not have helped. Depending on the force of impact maybe even PPF would not have prevented all damage.
Don't worry too much about it. It was bound to happen eventually. |

100% PPF needed, you can just do the front. Worth the piece of mind. I did the front, get rocks all the time and don't think twice bout it.
XPEL is very good stuff, you can check the site for who sells/installs it. |
