Just in name though. Just like how the AMG GT 4 door is not at all related to the AMG GT coupe and roadster, there could be a similar styled 6 series coupe to the 6GT

That's true

All they need to do is KISS. Classic long hood, short deck, and simplistic design elements is an easy recipe for a timeless car

With the Lexus LC-F rumored to also have a transaxle, will there be any relation between the two?

This is most likely a hybrid (i6-electric) Mid-engine sports car to replace the I8 or halo car to the tune of the mid engine concept they had a while back.

In the video, at 0:45 seconds, watch the rear axle, weight transfer as it goes around the corners. It certainly looks like something is heavy back there. They are probably using this 8er as a mule to fine-tune the power train for something in the future, which they haven't created a chassis for. 4-5 years down the line from now we'll see what product this is for, I'm guessing. Hopefully a high-end supercar competitor. Sounds larger displacement, and 100% turbo'd.

Yeah but to be fair, the M850i does have four exhaust pipes at the very end of the system, the rhombus shaped exhaust tips are literally trim pieces inserted into the bumper, solely for aesthetics. I really dislike the fake exhaust tip meta....

Smart thinking, very possibly another project Toyota and BMW are going into together after the success of the supra/z4 program.

Myster BMW Mule Re-Appears on the Ring with New Details

Months after its first and random appearance, the mystery 8-series mule appears to be back at the ring again with different modifications and parts.

A different setup to what it previously had?

Do you know if it has ever had an S68Tu in it, or some type of V8 with 48v assist?

Just saw it in this video @3:03

It's very loud and sounds like a straight-piped inline six to me.

Rear bumper design (2019) of this supposed Competition Squadron Leader:

Front bumper design (2017):

The BMW M front end design evolved from \---/ to /---\ many years ago (see the 2018 dedicated thread here). IMHO it's unlikely that BMW M would move back to the \---/ front end design in the near future.

Hence, IMHO this front end design would be more suitable for this car:
