I know a guy who was dating a girl (not for long) when he found out he badly needed a kidney transplant. The girl turned out to be a match and insisted on donating one of hers to him!!

He's now doing great and they've since gotten married but when this all went down it was early days in their relationship. Pretty Crazy stuff at the time but what an amazing thing to have done for someone
