Ceramic coating on windshield = chattering wipers. How to remove this sh!t?

I've reached out to the installer his answer is "give it some time". My understanding is this stuff is basically bonded to a surface for years. I don't want to deal with chattering wipers for years, what's the best way to remove this stuff?

Probably has to be buffed off with a machine polisher would be my guess…

Was it installed badly? Maybe it needs to be redone

Give it a few months and it should stop. The constant friction from the wiper blades will wear it down.

I think the install was fine - I can't see it on the glass and the rest of the car looks great. I'm worried that maybe if it got on the blades themselves while it was wet?

Might buy another set of blades to test that theory.

If it needs to be removed I'll bring it back to this guy I don't have a machine polisher.

I've had about 10 cars ceramic coated and have always done the windshield. I live in Seattle so we have a little rain. Sometimes the windshield coating works well with the wipers, other times it's like it's too slick for the blades. In any event, it's doesn't last long. The windshield coating eventually rubs off.

100%. This makes a huge difference. Ignore the claim that it breaks down the rubber you're not keeping your wipers for multiple years on the car anyways.

Really? Huh, I'll try it and report back, I got lots of WD40.

Thanks!
