I like the rogue-ish (<-- is this a word?) character, but hope this Bond still has the charm, charisma, and smart-ass one-liner witicisms that Connery, Moore, and Brosnan had.

i'm sorry, but i simply can't stand that white-trash, short, non-charismatic, wrong, drunk-looking ass daniel craig who has absolutely no class, which i think is #1 requirement to play Bond, and no business being in that movie, not even as an extra.
as you've probably figured, i'm gonna be one of those who will boycott the movie until they re-cast. i don't know who pulled what strings at Sony to get the moron the role, but i think they've made a horrible mistake.

I'm with vladinecko, although not quite to that degree. Daniel Craig isn't very Bond-ish imo and I dunno how to feel about the 'edgier' Bond, but I suppose we'll see come November.
Roger Moore was a great Bond, imo. I loved his sarcastic one-liners. Nothing like dry British wit I tell you

..yeah i wasnt impressed when they picked Daniel Craig but hey what can we do. I'm going to give him the benefit of a doubt and hope he pulls through. I do like the idea of an edgier Bond as I found that previous movies to be too focused on Bond's use of gadgetry to get the job done. Its good to see him focus more on his physical prowess.
Oh the car he's using is the Astin Martin DBS which is specific for the movie. |

I met Daniel Craig in a bar at Getwick airport in London years ago . He's a very likeable guy in real life - the kind of guy you can sit down and have a drink with. So although I do think Clive Owen'd make a better Bond, I have nothing against Daniel. My biggest gripe with him as Bond is the fact that he looks more German than British.

He looks a bit too rough around the edges... almost Indiana Jones-ish... Is it me, or does his accent seem a bit off as well? Well, the guy has some big shoes to fill, I too, was hoping for Clive Owen to win the part.

I don't want to judge the movie based on the trailer, but it seems as if they cast this Bond to be too serious. Not even one smirk or half-smile. The last Bond this reminds me of was Timothy Dalton who nobody really cares to remember, because he was too serious and politically correct.

I think that's the tone they wanted to set with this new Bond film. They felt the previous movies were falling back away from his true "roots." I loved most of the Bond films so far and I think making more edgier refreshes the 007 franchise.
