Exclamation need help with the 750li

well my mom has a brand new 750li( since november) and it is eating up oil like crazy. its not leaking or smoking either.
i was wondering if anyone knows about the 750s having oil quantity sensor problems.
any insight would be awesome

My buddies X5 4.8 (2007) eats oil like crazy too... its just the engine I think

What constitutes eating oil like crazy? It is not unreasonable or unheard of for a car to be a quart low every 3K miles or so.

BMW has a bulletin about this and the "acceptable range" for any e65/66 is no more than 1 quart every 750 miles. Anymore than that and you have a problem, according to BMWNA. Me being a BMW tech personally has a problem with this but unfortunately, nothing can be done about it. And yes, we do have a few complaints about excessive oil burn in the 7's.
