Hi Guys/Gals,
Has any of you experienced this kind of clicking noise from the rear? Youtube Link: it seems to be from the passenger side and it becomes more prominent when I turn left (so putting weight on the passenger rear)...What do you think is causing it? Any thoughts on tests I could do to figure it out? 2015 BMW 528i F10 (Base) Thank you so much every one ![]() Last edited by BM-Dollar; 08-14-2021 at 05:51 PM.. sounds like an incorrect, too long, lug bolt tapping against the emergency brake hardware inside the hub.
sometimes happens when you get new wheel and wheel hardware. if it has just starting occurring with no new changes to car I don't know. Last edited by overcoil; 08-14-2021 at 08:10 PM.. |

You could find you forgot to tighten a caliper bolt properly, or whatever. But definitely remove the wheel inspect and if you are able to lift the rear safety with the transmission in neutral rotate the wheel and listen. Obviously when up a garage lift this would probably be a quick diagnosis. |

I also found these two guys whose noise sounds super similar. Looks like their issue went away after they thoroughly cleaned the mating surfaces of wheel inside and rotor.
