G83 Convertible Top Protectant Needed?

I am new to BMW, recently picked up my first in the brand.

I've used Chemical Guys Convertible Cleaner & Protectant on my other convertibles and have loved it.

Wondering what others are using -- I have the Moonlight top which seems to be a different material than my other cars (but maybe not). Is it even needed with BMW tops?

How often are you supposed to clean the top?

I just clean it whenever I wash my car -- but the protectant is kinda like a scotch guard for dirt and water. After it's on, cleaning is merely spraying the top -- and it dries much faster. I think I'll just do it.

Oh I gotcha, I have a a g83 coming to the Midwest. Wasn't sure if I was supposed to do extra cleaning after being exposed to snow or salt or something. Nothing in the manual about proper cleaning of the soft top. Plus this would be my first

I would recommend this, easy to apply and can be topped up after every wash/month depending on the location and use. also good for keeping trainers👟 clean.

I also use i2 on all internal fabrics.
