Road paint removal
Left a voicemail for my detailer, but wondering if anyone has DIY removed road paint from their car. It's been on for less than a day and I tried pressure washing and Goo Gone so far. No luck.

Have some really hot soapy water, white spirits (not sure what you’d call that in the US), wash it down with the water, then the white spirits, then the water and repeat until breaks down.
Don’t let it the spirits dry on your paint, so have plenty of water to hand.

Mineral spirits. Klean Strip Oderless Mineral Spirits. Used it to get white paint off a Focus ST, Ingot Silver. The car was covered one end to the other. Mineral Spirits does not evaporate for quite some period of time. It will not damage paint. Body shops use it. We used it way back, Tarrant Country Junior College in auto body shop back in 76.

Have you tried a pressure washer at all? Is your car ceramic coated? Waxed? Anything? PPF'ed? |
