Best routine leather cleaner after ceramic?
I applied Gyeon Leather Shield this weekend, so far so good.
I'm wondering what is the recommended practice for routine cleaning after this type of ceramic coating was applied? The Gyeon leather cleaner seems to suggest it's for pre-cleaning (prior to ceramic coating).

I applied Gyeon Leather Shield a week ago as well and had cleaned the leather before the application with CarPro Inside. This is the recommended cleaner to use before using the CarPro leather coating - I went with Gyeon because it was half the price of CarPro's coating.
Assuming you have a bottle of Gyeon Leather Cleaner *mild*, I would just stick with that once a month or so. Probably just spray on and wipe down with a microfiber towel and skip using a leather brush as I'm not sure the effect that would have on the coating. This is my first time using a leather coating, but I've read a lot of guys just wipe down with warm water once a month if there isn't any particular dirt or "stain" that needs something stronger to lift. This is my plan of action. Curious to see how my Silverstone interior holds up with this coating!

Damp microfiber cloth dabbed on a slightly wet Ivory soap bar.
Simple. Clean. Effective. Follow this with another damp microfiber cloth wipe. Been doing this for about 30 (sheet, I'm old) years with all sorts of leather on Fords, Chevys, BMWs, Lexus, Dodges, MBs, Porsches.... This is for "everyday" cleaning or about every 3 to 6 months. This is not a deep cleaning or a "crap I just dropped my chocolate donut and smeared it everywhere" cleaning. I used it for steering wheels and normally used seat areas (dashes too and knee bolsters, etc. if you have them). |

I'm using Colourlock leather cleaner on my Silverstone leather (coated with CarPro ceramic). I have both mild and heavy cleaners but have only needed to use the mild cleaner so far. 10,000 miles in, leather's perfect.

luckylingy PHXATC petrol_phxz thanks guys. I've got a lot of Lexol cleaner still left from an earlier purchase; I've been using it for years and it's always seemed like a good, gentle cleaner. I'll probably use that up first, unless someone objects strongly...

Dr Leather wipes and MF towel to level it off. Job done, work a treat on the steering wheel too.

Great mention -- don't forget the steering wheel, especially if you eat in the car or have oily skin. Leather should remain matte in finish. Any gloss on the wheel is an indication of oily build-up. I regularly drive other people's BMWs for my retirement gig, and most steering wheels after a couple years are shiny and slippery.
