Answering questions you did not ask lol.

Yes, it did rub. It would have fit with stock rear springs for sure. No I won't do that because stance > functional.
I am going to size down to 285/40/18 tire and it will fit fine. Might have had a chance if it was a 17" wheel though.

Stance is greater than functional?

Yup, looks over functional lol. But I don't want H&R springs in the front and stock springs in the rear.

Understandable. I can run a 285/40 and still hook fine. It's also on stock axles, 305's MT's will very likely snap them.

I just got my 285/40/18 tires in today after a month of national backorder. I will update this with that picture soon.

285/40/18 with H&R Springs is perfect fitment. Doesn't rub at all and no cutting is required. I am curious but a 285/45 might have cleared as well. But hard to tell.

Darn no rubbing that's great! Love me a meaty tire and I think you take the prize - nicely done! Still stock on the front? Is this just for getting the power down - or daily?

Thanks! I wish the 305 could have cleared. It looked amazing and thats a 28" tire. 285 makes it a 27" tire. Yeah, stock wheels up front for now. Still deciding on wheels. Potentially TE37's after tax season. And this won't be for daily, just for drag strip use.

Some good reference photos for folks (myself included) to visually understand the offset differences between G80 and G20 oem wheels

Thanks!

Just because you can doesn’t mean you should.

That’s a lot of poke. It’s going to destroy your fenders!

I do agreee with the poke “most of it is in the back” the front is flush with the fender and the back I am actually looking into that plastic piece that hang on top of the back fender in the G80 and see if I can apply it to my car. I am working on that as we speak but hard to find.
