The smell of jet A fumes at the airport.

The sound of a turboprop winding up after fuel is injected.

Watching dirt and grime peel away with a pressure washer.

The sound of wind in the sails of a fast sailboat when close hauled.

Watching my son get pissed when I beat him in a round of golf, and watching him get happy when he drains a nice putt.

playing fetch with my dog and watching a tennis ball in a perfect 25-yd arc bounce once in front of her as she jumps and snatches it from the air. she always looks so proud trotting back to me to drop the ball at my feet.

My E70 35i dragged an E90 with no wheels, in wet dirt. That was satisfying, as I didn’t know if it’d be able to do it.

The smell of 2-stroke smoke
Hoovering up thick dirt/dust
The sound of gravel/etc clattering up the hoover hose, and even better if it makes a clunk when it hits the far side of the can
Cuts that seamlessly glue themselves shut with (my own) blood
Cutting my toenails
Efficient things, like putting something in the bin in the same trip as getting a drink from the kitchen
Genuinely good design (the sort that doesn't need defence...you know what I mean)
