Advanced Car Eye 3.0 Pro and Windshield Tint

I'm considering getting my windshield tinted, the windshield still lets in some heat even with its IR treatment. But the thing is I also have the ACE 3.0 Pro installed from factory.

An installer that I talked to told me the dash cam could be removed from the glass, then glued onto the film after it dries but the film warranty would be voided. He said he could also try to cut the film around the existing base but it would not look nice, and he can't guarantee a perfect cutout.

Has anyone run into this issue? Is there a better workaround? Thanks!

Any reputable tint installer should be able to remove it and cut around it. I mean the rearview is typically mounted with a stone glued to the windshield and they always cut around those.

I didn’t wanna risk messing up the re-mount so I just settled with cutting around the dotted area.
