Per the title- how much did you all pay to get the pan done? I'm planning to swap in the aluminum oem pan and cut the plastic cover. I already heat wrapped the exhaust pipes that run on both sides of the pan so heat will already be reduced.

No no no. Do not use an aluminum aftermarket pan.

8hp76x, same trans in many bmw M cars (75z in m5) so I opted to get the m8 alum oem pan to go on my m850. Same trans, but diff pan options and the upgrade is aluminum with 3" cooling fins; far better than plastic, encased in more plastic.
