want a manual BMW have to buy a Toyota?

has anybody considered a Toyota Supra GR Manual?

I'm not sure i want to pay 50% more for the M2 Manual - might as well get the M3 Touring Automatic.

No other options in my country ...

(I have owned a B58 before, it would suit a 'light' RWD pretty well I reckon)

Been toying with ideas for a manual weekender, and briefly considered the Supra, but dismissed it because I don’t love the way it looks, and the dated interior.

M2 manual has a decent step up in performance and equipment IMO and worth the extra.

For similar money to Supra, I’d be tempted by V8 Mustang when it finally lands.

Rigid coupe vs floppy convertible, and likely+$15k MORE for the Z4 comparably equiped

Supra vs. M2 for me was wheel base and weight
500+lbs is a big deal. The backwards tach I could never get used to

Here in Australia at least, the G29 M40i is so expensive to the point it doesn’t make sense. It’s about 50% more than the Supra.

less hp, 340 vs 380 and heavy, expensive - at those higher prices I'd get an M3 Touring and forget the stick

Appreciate that.
I grew up dreaming about owning a manual C6.
Meanwhile will keep an eye out on the Stangs ... gives me something to "want" ...
