The E38 7er , specifically the LCI models from 99-01 and specially the 01 model year were the pinnacle of the 7-series line since it’s inception in my humble opinion. The E32 is my runner up. It has been a down hill since, starting with the E65, specially last couple of models that are looking like an early Toyota Camry from the rear and having that radiator heater heater looking kidney grills you find in old apartments and homes in the Midwest and east cost.
