I really like the G90. To me, BMW has always had some sort of "transition" model when it comes to their more modern cars. These transition models have never resonated with me. Again, just my opinion here for the 5 Series.
E39 - Love it! E60 (Transition Model) - Love the S85 but not the car. F10 - Love it! BMW recovered from the E60 debacle with this car. F90 - (Transition Model) - Very similar car to the F10. BMW tried to make the car more aggressive with larger visual accents that are not proportional to the rest of the design language. G90 - Loving it so far as the proportions are correct for all visual aspects. I really like how the M5 has fender flares now to set it apart from the Series Car! |

The F90 only looks "bland" when it's bone stock. Add all the M Perf Carbon, M Perf HAS, and some spacers... The car is aggressive as f*ck. Take it a step further and get some nice wheels and its absolutely gorgeous. Its always about the details.

I am not sure what the implication here is. Is it that because of my dissatisfaction with the direction of the brand that my points are now invalid? Your emotionality is not an effective retort. When you wake up and realize that the move towards hybridization serves as a mere stepping stone towards the death of the internal combustion engine, you will be needing more Kleenex than I.

I remember a few years ago BMW hosted a track event at Laguna Seca that included some laps in their M lineup at the time. I’ve driven that track a number of times over the years in my own cars as it’s local to me, so not totally unfamiliar. I drove a G82 first, and followed that with some laps in an F90 comp. The G82 felt stable, predictable, and had exceptional turn-in and grip up front. It felt perfectly at home, and they were running them all day long. It left such an impression on me that I ordered mine later that afternoon ![]()

Furthermore, please note at how you have changed your point, before it was the F90 was the best car BMW has ever made, now the M5 CS is the best modern production bmw (two different things). I am sure the reason you phrase it like this is due to what I was referring to and that it is not the best bmw ever. So re-read what I said in response to what you said, I am with you, I agree with alot of what you said, but by your own measure if the G90 performs like an m5 cs, and the looks grow on your, you may say it's the best modern production BMW... Which is why I said, let's wait and see when it gets tested independently. Remember, before the cs, there was a normal m5, then a competition then the lci then Cs. Remember claim 0-100 was 3.4 for a normal m5, the G90 claimed is 3.5... If the G90 out runs an m5 cs, then out paces it around a track and finally also get a cs trim... I would love to see what we say then, but until then we shall see, if it flops we can bury it if not one must respect the engineering as they have done with the M5 cs |

G80 6MT all the way! Got one 3 months ago and love it. My 3rd M, after E90 and F80. It’s much better than these two on all levels.

Both have fantastic looking but I personally prefer Coupe since its smaller, lighter and lower causing better handling .
Car is amazingly , surprisingly agile and well balanced. Fast, powerful, luxury and sport. All in one. Its actually 2 cars in one body. With all setting in comfort its a highway cruiser while in sport+ and Manula its a real monster ☺️
