I think that’s kind of the pojnt. The sedan might be an enthusiast car, but the wagon is clearly a daily driver. And ignorantly fast daily driver, but a daily nonetheless.

It’s hideous.

That’s the kindest adjective I can come up with…. I wanted to love it, but I just can’t get past it. Ugly inside and outside.

They really screwed up the M5. Sad. I’m not convinced it drives great either with 5500 lbs and hybrid architecture. The XM isn’t a great ride, so why would this be?

I had "M Debut" on my calendar for a month or two after I heard they were announcing something. I had visions of grandeur that it was finally going to be something exciting to make me keep wanting to buy BMW cars (as opposed to just the X vehicles going forward), but alas I am forlorn at yet another hideous release from BMW. It might sell well in Europe where the wagon seems to be the national car, but I'm dubious how well an overpowered overpriced station wagon will sell in the US.

In real life though? I have seen 3 cars in this color. in 3 years. So Id say we gotta be real what we mean when we say overused.

I mean it is a header in this forum too, you see it daily. Its overused in digital media. not in real life.

Brooklyn grey - its all grey to me. I barely notice. Best part about G M cars is the fun colors people use finally.
IOMG was the G80 launch color, F95 LCI launch color and now this. M marketing hasn’t been unique, as overusing/recycling the same IOMG color.

I’ll wait to see it in person before I make any solid judgment about but I like it.

With a slight drop, different wheels, tinted windows all around and a good paint color I think it would look better from what I’ve seen.

A car this expensive should be good to go off the showroom floor. BMW has fueled aftermarket mods with these designs for sure.

Whatever about the rest, you won’t have more speed.
I’ll wager the G90 is an absolute monster. We’ve got an S68 mated to a strokng electric motor and 250Nm more than F90.

Wagons are not that popular in EU. My reading of it is that the Touring model is aimed at the US market?

As for over-priced… it’s not. Taxes on high-emission cars are high in many markets outside the US.

I completely understand why they’ve taken this approach.

On the upside, as a driver of thr 545e PHEV currently, I have absolutely no doubt that the G90 will be extremely fast.

Not with a tune and DP. And no constant charging required to stay at that level.

As long as that diffusor gets painted too.
