MPE for G90 M5??
Has anyone seen or heard of any indications that MPE will be a port installed option for the G90 M5? To date I’ve only seen/heard that the exhaust tips are Motorsports only exhaust offering.
To keep this post relevant to the forum I guess I have to throw in the required hater speech that MPE would be a weight savings option. Last edited by Hammer110!; 09-10-2024 at 03:42 AM.. |

A neutered V8. Going to take more than just an MPE to make it sound good. Will need full aftermarket.

We need to see what the US versions sound like as our emissions/ exhaust regularations are less restrictive...no Otto Particulate Filter https://youtube.com/shorts/hRcgaJYnQ...zX9nLJ0HFPLQMl https://youtube.com/shorts/QjFLqpSr-...fZ4wezaTVilcdO Skip to 11:05 trev230 |

My XM sounded good with the standard exhaust, the M5 lifts the V8 and electric motor directly from the XM. It will sound good. Or you can add an Akropovik aftermarket and it will sound even better.

I bought my first BMW w/ a 5K loan from my mom when I was in college. Might have been best one I’ve had over the years 72 TII that I converted to TI. It was a wicked car all 150hp. Zender airdam and wheel flares. Supersprint exhaust an headers. Weber DCOE dual side draft headers….sounded like a storm of bees on throttle. Over the years There have been E 36 M3’s, F32 M4 and many M5’s. Euro E34 six speed, E39 which was good in many areas not great in any, E60 V10 was cool too, Then an F10 till last stop the F90. That car was widely panned with the loss of SMG and to the purest’s horror 4 wheel drive. So yes I am older and have had the pleasure of driving many of this marque. I love the cars and have only owned them with the exception of some trucks over the years and one Mercedes AMG E55 that caught fire and almost burnt to the ground. I have some experience with M5’s. The facts are the facts. EU emissions requirements and the green scam movement tied their hands. Hopefully the pendulum will swing back on the whole green thing. Until then the choices for ICE vehicles is getting narrow Enjoy your F90, keep it, maintain it most of all drive it. Place your energy in another direction than bashing a vehicle that NO ONE has driven nor have any car mags reviewed other than on one track. Zero on road impressions have been had so far. Enjoy |
