The salesperson knows about this and of course offers it if available.

They obviously are selling all they can with little discount. I can’t fault them for that but likewise I will search out and buy from a different dealer since they make little effort to reward repeat customers.

Having sold BMWs now since 1976, and only recently (2023) retired from it, I have no idea of the program to which you refer. There is the Owner Loyalty program through the BMW Car Club of America which provides for a sliding scale of discount by model if you've maintained your CCA membership for at least one-full year. There are also "corporate partnership" Type G discounts available for employees of companies that qualify as vendors. Ask your benefits department at work. There are also a handful of investment and wealth-management companies who are able to provide similar BMW discounts.

BMW frequently offers loyalty discounts for certain models to current or former BMW owners or lessees when you use BMWFS. Here is is an example from earlier this year for a lease on the 4 series.

Show these people the broker pricing. These dealers obviously love to let cars sit unsold then.

That's crazy talk. I've had great success with BMW sales people.

I ordered a car while I was out of country. I simply used the BMW website and looked at what was available at the dealerships near my zip code. I found one that fit my criteria and notified the dealership through that. I got a call like a day later saying that the one I chose was already taken but they'd find another. They ended up finding one within a week and I did all the paperwork over email. Few months later it came off a boat straight off the assembly line and I picked it up and signed paperwork.

This makes me feel slightly better.

I drove and rode BMWs for many years and then a combination of my wife buying a Lexus and two bad experiences at the BMW dealership I started to drive Lexus and had 4 LS's .

They were flawless and the service department was first class. Unfortunately, the new LS's are too small for me especially in window height (I am tall),

The only car that I am comfortable in is the new 5 series with the comfort seats. I ordered a 530iX. I hope it will be a nice car. The only other vehicle I was comfortable in was a Ford Lightening Pickup, but parking one in the city parking lots would be a PITA

So...I am back to BMW . So far things have been just ok. The electric one I drove seemed very nice and I was more concerend about visiblity and seat comfort

The Sales Rep forgot to send me the production number/serial number so I could track the build. a

I wouldn't have cared except he made such a big deal of me being able to see my car being built. My car was on the ship when I followed up.

I had wanted to find out the name of the ship the car was on becasue then we could have tracked it across the atlantic on AIS with my pal's grandson who is BMW crazy. Apparently, the ship name was not available.

My car arrives on the 3rd at the railhead and no one can tell me if that means that car has arrived in Halifax and is just off the boat or it has arrived in Vancouver. I am thinking that means Vancouver based on the definition of the word railhead .

The car needs the recall performed, I am told that the parts should be in .My Sales person was surprised i knew about the recall.

I asked if BMW had optional front and rear recording cameras that I could buy and have installed. Cameras have been important in two cases we were involved in recently. When I was leaving the office a street person claimed I had run over him and hurt his foot/ankle. Unfortunately for him the rear camera showed him chasing my car while running limp free at Usain Bolt speed.

Last fall the camera in my wife's car captured an accident and proved the driver of the car in front of us was not at fault, even though the three people in the pickup who drove into him claimed he hit them.

They (sales and parts) both told me BMW didn't have accessory cameras. It took me 10 minutes to find them on the US BMW site, and now they know about them and have ordered them.

I have now been told that BMW didn't put the dash and rear window camera hook ups into the wiring loom so the dealership has to take the interior apart (4 hours labour) to run the cables to hook up the cameras.

Has anyone ordered and/or had the cameras installed?

Do they really have to lift the carpets to install them?

I was able to buy snows and rims last week when I followed up on that again.

i remarked to my wife that I just spent more on snow tires and rims than I did for my brand new 1976 VW Rabbit.
