To OP: So, what's happening with your M5CS?

Is that the PCD up here in Greenville? The last I was told (albeit uncertain) was that they might not be doing PCDs in Spartanburg for cars not built at that plant but that they'd check when my order gets close to coming in. I hope they're wrong!

Yes, Correct. M Cars aren’t build there, but you can have your dealer ship the car there directly from Germany and you can experience the delivery at the Performance Center.

I have been on this site since 2007 and have liked your posts over the last year. I am just curious, where does your M5CS go if you get the G90 M5?

Arguably the best reason to do PCD delivery these days is because your local dealership never gets to touch the car before you take delivery. My local dealer likes to do shady crap like tinting windows and adding ceramic coat and then charges out the butt for those add-ons. By doing PCD they never get a chance to do any of that.

The last time I was at my local BMW dealer, which is a Rick Hendrick operation, I'm pretty sure they had Window Tint $895 added to all the window stickers in the showroom. And ceramic coat $1300 was also added. I just laughed, but it defintely shows me that if I ever do order a car from them it means I need to do PCD just to avoid that stuff.
The ceramic coat is a big problem because if you have ceramic coat then it means you can't add PPF unless the coating is sanded off the car first. So their BS ceramic coating would create a big, expensive hassle. |
