Exclamation The REAL Review I've Been Waiting For...

IMO, this guy is one of the more trusted and realistic Automotive Reviewers online!
Been a subscriber for a while now.

3.1: 0-60 should quiet down the Haters.

As I've said before, I absolutely LOVE this car and the evolution BMW has done to the mighty ///M5!

FULL REVIEW - 194mph

I wonder if that 3.1 includes rollout?

Personally I think rollout is a stupid metric now, but so many publications still use it. In order to compare this to other cars we really need to know if this was with or without rollout.

I agree.

But, I believe for the added heft, it will still be very quick and nimble.

Need to ask him also because none of us managed to get that. I got 3.5 to 62 mph, maybe with a better surface and warmer weather, save another .2 seconds.

Do you understand the difference between 0-60 mph and 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h)?

No one is using rollout here, it's just that some people seem not to understand the factual data at hand, like you for example.

It's not that someone deliberately uses a foot roll out but the GPS boxes have two settings: with or without. When I forget to change it to no roll out, it gets a different measurement. I know Joe well so I wanna ask what he used to understand the delta between my run and his. The one difference I saw was the he turned off DSC, I kept mine on.

No need for a personal attack, this is just trying to understand the difference in times.

I think that bmw could have managed to get a better 0 to 60 times if they want to but they were limited with how much the gearbox can handle and they did not want to put a lot of pressure on the transmission with the crazy torque of this car so they decided to keep the launch little soft
Just all my asumptions
The big limkting factor of this csr that no one is talking about is the transmission

I talked to Joe. The drag app was set with a foot roll out hence the variation for the rest of us. In my case, the M5 struggled the first foot with grip then it just blasted. I thought I was a bad driver for a second.

I remember reading somewhere (in a thread about how people might mod this car) that they maxed out the torque the transmission could handle.
