Did that really go out the window though?

I think more people begrudgingly accepted the reality than grew to love it.

That said, I wasn’t A fan of the G90 at first, but that has grown on me - in the case of the G90, I do think it looks better in person.

Is anyone buying their M5 to track it these days?

If not, what does weight matter? The weight will only really come in to play at 8 or 9/10ths, which you can’t hit on the streets in a car that capable anyway.

EVERYTHING that was disliked about the G90 is still there.

They threw some springs on it and it dropped a couple mm. Nothing has changed to sway me.

Can never go wrong with H&R springs, always a perfect drop and top notch quality. Love them.
I'm more curious to see how it affects driving dynamics. I'm in the camp of if I'm taking off the stock suspension, it's in favor of coils as springs work with shocks (and other kinematics) to make the magic happen.

I do also get those that care for the wheel gaps closure, it's the weight with the less springs travel distance I'm more curious about.

I've liked the G90 since the get go unlike the G8x design that I'm still meh about. I'll most likely get one at some point that isn't a first year model to see how BMW works out any kinks that arise with the S68

Still does not look proportional and rear is like Camry. Only ok part of this design is M5 front, the rest is disjointed and ugly. Looks like cripple to me.

The S68 has been out two years now since the X7 M60i, I believe. Not that two years is going to be enough time for all shortcomings to appear, but it seems to have had a solid start on the market.
