Additionally, this opens up a new game for who will be the next Head of BMW Group Design. So far, it was believed it would be either Dukec or Heilmer. Now they added Anders Warming and Max Missoni to the mix. Adrian will eventually retire, but unlikely before 2027, and BMW doesn't like to bring someone from the outside usually. So this is a way also for him to test who is the best successor which I'm sure he will personally pick after consulting with the board also. Lots of interesting things inside BMW, one day will write a short book When I retire. |

I am correct in saying that they are shifting away from this horrid g90 type design. just over a longer timeframe. |

BMW needs to find a new Claus Luthe. His E30 M3 made a generation's hearts skip a beat any time they saw the car.

And that horrid design language as you writing on - sales are much better than competitors. Well just not XM, it's just big marketing failure. |

I’m really hoping those last bits holds true because whether it be emissions / ambitious designs, I internally battle the next thing it the lineup I’d like to try. The old fanbase has felt like an after thought as their sales numbers as given them the results the company has wanted.

'ITS UGLY, I DONT LIKE IT, IT'S TOO HEAVY.....' they all say knowing they can't afford to buy this car. This guy bought it maybe tested it but drove it like he stole it and loves it. Until then show us your car or your reviews or let it go. Case closed.

Didnt mean for this post to evolve into a battle of BMW design language history etc haha…anyways…This review just released a few days ago, is really interesting as well and contradicts a lot of others views on it. They race the F90 (base not cx) vs G90. It’s faster (barely, and more in rolling), but the guys are very displeased with its handling. The comment of how it makes the F90 feel like an M3 by comparison to the G90 is very sad for me. I want the G90 to be good so bad. It’s gonna be hard to know until you get your hands on one. |

What if Dukec comes back after Adrian retires to lead it all? We don't know what will happen. It's not like Dukec made the final decision on everything, so many levels of approval.

It's interesting depending on who reviews it some say it's nothing like the i5 M60 while other say it's similar (I absolutely hated the i5M60 handling). I really hope it's different and that the M division tunned the chassis like a true M car... I guess i'll need to try myself to have my own opinion.

This is the weird part- they are clearly not happy with the handling, but then there are many videos of people saying the body roll is minimal, and it handles really well.

Watching people drift an M5 from the interior POV kind of ruins most of the experience for me & waters it down. Although I'm happy to give this talented driver more click add revenue, I'm rather unimpressed with this video production as a whole. Show us some real drifts from the outside perspective next time mate...

G90 M5 - time will tell how good it is - but there's a lot of things I hate about the new BMW line up - including the stupid wrap around screen in all of the new models. I don't want to log-in to my car. I don't need gaming screen to play Warcraft either and bring back buttons and permanent layouts. The "Teslafying" of interiors is frustrating to say the least and to me, it looks and feels cheap. |
