G90 M5 Aftermarket Exhaust Options?

I know the car is just now getting to customer hands but is anyone in the aftermarket world working on an exhaust for this car? Remus website is all jacked up...how about Akrapovic?

US exhaust systems have the same design and the same pipe diameter, only the petrol particulate filter (EU standard) is missing. These are mounted in front of the middle silencer, so it should not be a problem to mount this

I have never had one of their exhaust, but they have been in the BMW tuning world for at least 20 years from back when I had an E46 M3. Very reputable tuning shop.

Anyone know whether these will void warranty?

I am not opining on whether that is a “good price”, but you have to keep in mind that the R&D and tooling effort for this are close to the same as they would be for a M3/M4 exhaust. The M3/M4 probably outsells the M5 about 5:1, plus I bet M3/4 owners are much more likely to mod their cars.

This means that there are WAY fewer potential customers, so all those costs have to be spread over fewer units.

So when people complain about an “M Tax” or “RS Tax” it is 100% a thing, but not just because the vehicle is more expensive. The R&D and business costs get spread over fewer units.

$4k - $5k for a stainless cat-back is what we have seen in the RS6 and RS7 world. For a turbo-back exhaust with good, high-flow cats you’re probably looking at the $8,000 range.

This has shown to be what the market will support on a ~$130k car.

This car needs an exhaust so badly
I did remove the resonators but did not do it for me
I had 2 m8s before and never had to modify the exhaust (i felt it was enough from factory)
But this one i ended up getting valvetronic titanium
Waiting for it to ship in spring

what is there to "R&D" on this car? Let's be honest with ourselves here.

My McLaren 750s has aftermarket exhausts ranging from $3500 to $13k. I don't think McLaren has sold even 1000 units in the USA alone so I understand economies of scale there.

These prices are a joke.
