Whilst we patiently wait for our new G90 M5 development car our friends over at AutoID got lucky with an early delivery and Nathan brought it over to Eventuri to let Bilal start the development process.

With the initial scans out of the way Imran then goes out for a drive with Nathan to get some first impressions of the latest M5.

Our car should arrive next week and we've already got a full schedule of development work to begin! Is there any products you guys are waiting to be released?

Every M5 generation used to evolve with new technology of it's time until the F10 M5 which started to evolve by complying to regulations and emissions standards rather than technology.

Don't get me wrong I love all M5 stylings with the F10 being the least but come on applying classic BMW styling ? far from it
Since we're talking styling I think the G90 looks incredible with the exception of the hideous charging flap in the front fender and that enormous illuminating kidney grill.
Come on BMW we already got used to the fueling flap in the rear fender, just put the damn charging flap on the other rear fender instead of destroying the look of the front fender.

I think the reason for this is that it is closest to the drivers door. Since you will be plugging and unplugging each time having this right there is nice.

My wife’s car has the charger port on the rear passenger side, you so have to walk to the opposite side of the car every time before you leave and when you get home.

You're probably right and maybe the battery management system or any other essential electronics are also close to it
But is it just me that finds the look of that port in the front fender annoying ? I can't help it but everytime I look at the G90 I get annoyed by it
In addition that place is reserved for the fake fender vent Seriously I wished they added a real functional vent instead of that charging port.

Agreed the charging door needs to be at the back of the car. It’s in the wrong place no doubt about it

Lmao. Just like every bmw when you fill it for gas. You can’t have an electric car and be that lazy.

Yes, but you don’t fill a gas with gas every time you park. Lots of other EV’s put the charge port on the driver side front fender.

As all manufacturers in North America move to Tesla’s (NACS) plug they’ll move to the left rear for functionality reasons

Eventuri Intake development is on track. Prototype has been tested and carbon production is on the way.

More people doesn't make it quicker. The process is the process.
