Hi Guys,
I would like to ask for help to find engine coolant drain plug on M57N2 Diesel motor from BMW E60 525d LCI 2009 version. I have seen lot of videos and post here but everything about N47 motors where is missing coolant drain plug on engine block. What I know from BMW parts website, M57 has engine coolant drian plug here, part 10,11: http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E6.../engine_block/

But I would like to know in which area should I looking for, because when I look on left side of my motor I am not sure in which area is this drain plug, is it on left side down? under the exhaust or more to right side and in the middle? do I need to dissembemly some parts to have access to this drian plug? Second plug is directly on radiator but If I would like to change coolant I need to open drain plug directly on engine block not only on radiator....

Hey, did you find out where and how to access the coolant block drain plug? Mine is 2005 530d but same engine. I can only drain 4 litre from the radiator petcock as well. Scratching my head.
