That’s hard to believe to be honest. I think they will bring the comp. I think they are just saying that so ppl buy more units of the m5

However, if they make it in more meaningful numbers i.e You could order it… EU rules… no chance of ICE only. Euro VII emissions standards are coming and they’re even more strict than Euro 6.

Begin with the fact that the whole idea of a model year is a US construct that is completely foreign to the BMW production cycles that have 3 transition points each year. Then look at the SOP/EOP lists distributed to dealers every year and see at least a third of items on each list with model years not equal to 12 months. This is especially true for M cars. |

It’s not coming……whether you want to believe it or not. They won’t even put full leather in this thing.

I thought BMW M said a while ago there would not be a Competition nomenclature on true M products in the future.

Yes. That's also evident with the choices with the X5 M/X6 M and M8...only available as competition now as most did not get the base model for those vehicles.

The LCI, currently planned for March 2027 SOP, will continue with a single version of G90.
No predictions yet for what could happen after that. |

No soft close doors or better audio?
I am also waiting on the competition... or hoping for one. Would love full leather option. M5 is a luxury sedan. Or supposed to be one. |

No soft close doors, no full leather, no Bowers & Wilkins upgraded/Diamond surround sound. This is all making the new M5 look honestly like a peasant car but inexplicably still priced at $140k. I'll keep my X7 I guess. Was seriously wanting to get the Touring in the Spring.

Wait wait wait. No soft close, no full leather, no upgraded audio option???? 😂😂😂😂 BMW has lost their minds!
First time in 15 years I don’t have a BMW in my house as I sold my M8 few months ago. There’s nothing in the lineup that stands out. Well maybe M4 CS.

It's extremely unlikely we'll see any non-hybrid G90 M5s. |

Profit margin is very slim on the G90 and a loaded x7 m60i is 130k so not exactly cheaper. And the b&w in the G90 keeps getting described as better then the diamond that was in the F90 so really it's soft close doors and a couple extra pieces of leather that've got you accusing it of peasantry.
