Not withstanding the explanations following this question, it isnt entirely quiet - just throw it into reverse and it starts this annoying (somewhat loud) safety sound. And, there doesn't appear to be a way to turn it off.

Nanny feature that is quite annoying TBH. Not sure if its NA required or if its global, but would love to see a programming override for this "feature".

the gas motor absolutely does charge the battery. idk why the XM owner thinks it doesn't.

Yes in your dash you can have an info panel with multiple temperature reading for :
- Coolant
- Oil
- Battery

and i think turbo boost also is there from memory.
