Brooklyn Grey Club

Didn't expect to find myself here on the forums anytime soon, but drove home with a Brooklyn Grey M5, having not been on my radar at all. I had a F90 M5 (non Comp) for 3 weeks in Europe last summer and while it was fun gaping cars on the autobahn, the car didn't leave too many lasting impressions on me. This new one is quite playful and agile by comparison despite its extra heft.

I love the hybrid aspect of the car as well, once you figure out how all the modes work, it's like having 2 cars in 1. I have a Taycan Turbo GT Weissach arriving any day now and I'll be really curious to see if the Porsche can hide it's weight as well as the new M5 in terms of steering feel. I can already say from experience the steering feels livelier than the gen 1 Taycan Turbo S. It really is impressive in that regard!

First mods on order are the CF side skirts. But what does everyone think about the M Peformance side decal? I'm thinking it might help break up the solid grey slab and add some contrast to the side view.

Finally someone picked up the playfulness of this car.. it’s freaking fun to drive this car, the f90 was boring except when I needed to gap cars, exactly!!!

On the sticker note it looks a bit too tacky

Ohhh yeah! I think people automatically assume the car is going to handle like a boat but for spirited driving it honestly feels more nimble and playful than cars weighing 1000 lbs less. I know I'm stating the obvious for current G90 M5 owners, but I think this point needs to be reiterated for anyone who hasn't driven one yet and is worried about the weight.

Thanks for the input. That's generally my take as well with decals on street cars, save for a few models. I'll give the side skirts a go for now.

I wouldn’t call the F90 “boring” at all. But we all have our opinions
