The funny/sad part is that some people paid over sticker for the sedan.
And many of them were here trying to defend it, with snarkiness.
That thing will be lucky to wholesale for $80k by the end of the year.

The sedans can sit on lots for as long as they want - but unless EU bureaucrats start adjusting policies, a lack of demand in itself won’t be enough to make BMW create a non-compliance version of the M5.

It’s almost as if customers were begging BMW to make more wagons

I have a G99 that just completed its build. So, a few weeks out from having it.

I am also number one on my dealers' list for the LCI G99.

So, to answer your question, at least one.

Anytime BP features a G9x post, it draws out the “edgy” comments from people that wouldn’t even be allowed to test drive an M5 at their local dealers.

And yes, count me as one of those that bought a “G9x in any form”, as mine is at the port. 🙂

Wait until they discover about the interest in the non-full M wagons!

I'd get a 540 wagon and would put up with an ugly car. And I know I am not the only one.

If they think the M5 touring orders are impressive/exceeding expectations then imagine if they offered the M3 touring.

Maybe the better question is “who is actually buying vs leasing the G9x”,
If you still fit into the “buying” category, bless you sir for ensuring those who make these cars possible can feed their families.

I keep wondering what people from BMW think when they see these comments. People have kept on buying these cars because they drive well, they used to be built well, and they’re reliable. But the majority consensus keeps growing that they’re ugly and we’re buying them despite that.

Like…what would happen if they went back to designing handsome cars?

I for one an annoyed they listened to the press gnats who gave them crap about the cars looking alike. The people who bought the cars liked that!

Not to derail this thread, but wagons remind me of basketball shoes, and I love those. I have dozens of pairs of Jordan's but this is not a car I would actively seek. What I cannot wrap my mind around here, it that you track junkies here bitch all hell relentlessly about weight, and this, and that. But then they drop a wagon and you wet your panties?

Add another person here. Except I want to order mine, and I refuse to pay ADM. Screw that shit.

Besides, won't they eventually have a CS version? That would be the touring to wait for.

Hi Jonathan, I did not - I saw that green sedan in the showroom for awhile and it got sold - waiting to see it around town. For context, I ordered a white wagon, red int. from the Mobile dealership because by the time I heard about the wagon coming to Americam the wagon allocation in Huntsville was spoken for. I have never been to Euro Sunday yet but will have to go - will look to meet you. Thanks! Tom

All hell has been bitched countless times over the weight. Have you seen the other threads? My guess is that this car has appealed heavily to non-enthusiast/track market who otherwise would have bought other heavy ugly cars like x6m or xm.

Let me just be clear - I don't think the m5 is dumb and ugly - I just think many of its purchasers otherwise would have been perfectly comfortable in dumb, ugly, fast, heavy cars and now they have this.
