Love my ‘23 Raptor 37 - this current one is my 5th.
Also have the Bronco Raptor but that’s about to be seriously neglected cause of the m5.

37 package here too. I had a 2017 Raptor I ordered before the 23. I feel like I need to keep the truck and get the M5. If I were to sell/trade the truck and get a M5 I feel like I would miss being in a truck and it would be too much of a change. Oddly enough the 17 Raptor was my first truck. I'm hesitant to go back to a sedan only now...

I had a Nov build date. Finally threw in the towel and found one in another state with vehicle in hand. I just checked and my original build is still in Germany waiting for vessel assignment. I know others are having issues as well. I'd look for one in hands if it's something you want quickly.

I hate to spend your money for you but you probably will miss it.
I had considered going without the Raptor when I got an rs6 but couldn’t bring myself to do it. It does everything well except fit in small parking lots/spaces and low parking garages. Turning radius could use work. If they could figure out rear axle steering it would be a game changer.
If I had to have one vehicle, I would be hard pressed to find a better vehicle than the Raptor.
Plus they have held their value incredibly well. I only got beat up once in my previous 4 - going from a 2021 35 to the 2023 37.

UPDATE : With any luck, the black M5 designated for me will receive its software update and be released soon. (IF not, I've got a line on a lovely Brooklyn Grey ) .

Any advice as I prepare to start my M5 as my Daily Driver Journey?

1. Make sure you kick on the V8 most of the time during break in.

2. Don't worry about range. I have seen about the 25 miles advertised under cold winter conditions. The car will also regenerate power on it's own and as soon as 1-2% is available on a dead battery, the car will flip back over to electric, consume it, then back to gas until more is available. The flipping is imperceptible to your ride. It's pretty amazing.

3. You actually get three M buttons. The car starts up in comfort/hybrid as a default and that mode is available through the M buttons (by pressing a second time to "deactivate" the M1/M2 mode. I usually keep it in hybrid mode for daily driving short distances. My M1 is sport/hybrid for a little more fun. M2 is everything maxed out and dynamic mode/race track driving for spirited drives or quickly blasting off on the highway just because I can.

4. Enjoy!

Well, I would never ever own one of these out of warranty - if you're driving 22-25K Miles/ yr, warranty is done after 2+ yrs. If you buy, acquire a Post BMW warranty.

They are not engineered to be durable . Costs of repair are astronomical.

Leases make far more sense IMO .

My M5 F90 transfer case started leaking @ 19K , Warranty repair was $11K

Front brake rotors warped @ 19K also - $3K

Now she's in for rear brakes - another $3K

all covered by BMW .

Will turn her in later this year for a new Leased G90

Im sure the G90 will require even more expensive repairs over long term

Alas, No update on this software hold thing .... I was hoping to know whether this was a week long or months long interruption, but no news.

new brake pads from rgsport worked wonders on mine. not sure if I'll get ccbs on my wagon order.
