Dash Cam install - What fuse to use?
Has anyone here installed their own dash cam hardwired to the cars front/rear fuse panel? I installed the thinkware setup with external battery in my X5M and plan to install the same in my M5T.
Thanks in advance Alan

I have had my FitCamX installed for about 6 months now. No complaints. I also installed FitCamX in my Q7, and two other P cars. They work well videos are clear and sort of blended in, no extra stuff dangling from the windshield is a bonus

Anyone else could share what fuse they tapped into in the rear for a dash cam install with external battery pack? The regular 5 guys used the empty fuse slot 283 which I tried but didn’t seem to provide any power with the car on or off.

Figured it out myself. Fuse F280 in the trunk is empty and works perfectly for my dash cam. Powers on when the car wakes and powers down within 5-10mins when the car sleeps.
