Here in the U.S. we won't get them until August 12, when they are slated to hit the dealer showrooms.

I notice that Acura tends to price their models close to each other - for example the TSX vs the TL (both with navigation) has just $5,000 between them. So $38,000 sounds about right and it's also close to the figure you have.

Nonetheless, I think $38,000 so far is the best bargain for a new car and the options the RDX is equipped with (so far at least purportedly) sounds quite impressive. The SH-AWD sounds good on paper but I really wonder how it competes against say the Quattro system.
I'm talking Canadian dollars, not US dollars, right? And my "source" is this first drive artcile from CanadianDriver.com...

$38,000 US falls in $42,340 CAD, which is smack dab in the range you gave. Sounds reasonable, no? Right now it's perched high up on my list. I'm beginning to seriously like Acura's blue/white/red LED gauge clusters! Oh and the blue ambient lighting! Sexy!

I am not sure where you are getting your info but I am hearing that the price of the RD_X will start at 32k and top out at 36k USD.....

-You do know that you can purchase the bigger brand new 2006 MDX for around 36-40k USD.

One more thing I should mention is that the Brand New...All New Body MDX is coming out this summer as well....the back of the body looks just like the new AUDI Q7.....

I was thinking the RDX sounded kind of cool.... then I saw this pic (see below). It's cute, but looks way to much like a "cute-ute" to justify the price. Then again, I'm shocked at what people pay for the X3.

From personal experince i would recommend a 2006 Nissan Murano in Blue.

It looks very stylish and has standerd color LCD screen. Along with Xenons, LED tail lights, Back up camera, Comfort Access and a bunch of other nice options. 06 models also have some very stylish chrome trim.

Also the CVT transmission is ultra smooth and fuel efficent. The exhuast sound is pretty good also, it has a nissan VQ V6 245hp/245tq.

Its drives more like a car than a SUV. Its steering and suspenson is also more sport tuned.

You can get one pretty loaded for about 30k, u can get usually get 2-3k off msrp easy if not more.

Only thing it doesnt have is Bluetooth

The RDX price is still not disclosed yet so all of this is speculating - I got my figure of 37-38 (with technology package) from an Acura dealership manager - he of course may be wrong. The MDX MSRP starts at $42,700 with navigation package. It is also slightly bigger and has only 17 mpg city relative to RDX's recently disclosed 19 mpg city (23 highway). I am still a little upset about the RDX mpg but at least it is not a guzzler like the Toureg or FX35. The new CRV looks good - but I think it might lack features like memory power seats, bluetooth(?), and especially HID lights - a mandatory feature we must have.

@ Findtom - I'm not a big fan of the exterior looks of the RDX as well But, this vehicle is for my woman and she actually likes the looks of the front of the RDX. I actually like the interiors of Acuras - at least that is a plus to perhaps offset the exterior. The X3 is extremely pricey with MSRP at 38,000 U.S. and that's bare bones (cheap interior too). My woman isn't limiting the search to just SUVs and with that much money she'd rather just get a loaded E90 325xi or some other AWD car.

@Agni - I have not yet considered the Murano - even though it may lack bluetooth it still has many good features...especially comfort access! Wow! But unfortunately - pricing it out with navigation it comes out to nearly the RDX's new price (with navigation)!
