I want an E30

I'm thinking about getting an E30 for a weekend/ commuter car for school while I'm in school in NYC..... My e90 is back at home in Washington and bringing that here is not an option. What do you guys think? Would I be able to pick one up for under 3k? It's either that or a bike, maybe a Ducati Monster, although its more than 3k, I've always wanted one... its either that or a used R6

hahaha! I envy those with it...

its such a classic, I love it.. 2dr or 4dr... I'm kinda thinking it might be a PITA taking care of it in the city but if I move to Brooklyn like planned, I dont think it should be too big an issue... I wouldnt mind a e36 M3 either, but those are pricey..

If you look you can find them around... gems pop up time to time. I wouldn't mind having an 2002... those are great too. But the e30 in my book was the best BMW yet.

My uncle has an E30 325e for sale at $500.00. However, the engine cranks but has a no start condition and he has no time to fix it.

I've started selling mine twice without having the nuts to actually sell it. I'm afraid once I do I can never get it back. I'll probably be thinking about it again in a few months though...

I'm looking at getting into a new CTS. I'd like to keep the E30 as well but it may be better to sell. Only thing is there are a number of thousands of dollars into this car and I don't want to sell for much of a loss. Only 145k on original M42 engine, 100% fully brand new brakes, suspension, and HID lighting.
