Mute phone via iDrive

How do I mute the mic during a call ? I am using an iPhone connected via BT to iDrive. I couldn't find how to do this in the manual and muting from the handset didn't help. is it possible ????
by the way - this is a 335i 08

Nope. Very annoying. Call waiting is another issue.
