Truly sad, but I have to wonder why all the other deaths of kids from parental negligence aren't as widely published in the media...drowning, losing your child somewhere, drinking and driving with them in the car.

Safety should always be first and foremost with kids I suppose, regardless of what they're doing.

+1 It looks like she actually removed the extractor pin and disassembled the bolt, which IIRC is not required. The hand guards can be a SOB if you try to rush them though.
